Nanna Lysholt Hansen’s project 'Dear Daughter' consists of a series of four performances documented in an a collection of four riso-printed and hand-sewn booklets.
In Dear Daughter/Organic Cyborg Stories from 2013, she addresses her unborn daughter by mixing fragments of professor Donna Haraway’s essay A Cyborg Manifesto with her own thoughts on pregnancy and birth. Dear Daughter/Motherboard Theories of Evolution is a speech to the new born daughter. Text fragments of different origin is interwoven and combined in a sound collage on femininity, history, language and technology. The performance Dear Daughter/Anatomy of the Chthulucene is about sex and sexuality and links anatomic descriptions of clitoris with Donna Haraway’s concept of ‘the Chthulucene’.
